@Tom Tijerina hey Tom sadly no, while I do have family I don’t plan on returning until I’m finished with law school (about 3 years). Eventually I hope to practice Intellectual Property.

hey david, with a little more information on the property we can figure this out. If you are looking at the lower 5 counties you’ll likely pay a premium as you get closer to the Miami area.

I would verify “why the tax was so high in that area?” other homes’ profiles might reveal something.

Hello FL-BP,

My name is Spencer Lasday. Originally, from Sarasota, I am a law student relocated to South Florida while I study to eventually become an attorney. This is my first venture into real estate investing outside the capital markets. I have investing experience with REITs; however, renting and flipping is more tangible, and my mother always told me to try new things. I am interested in all verticals, but I would like to focus on The BRRR Method, Fix n' Flips, and Sec. 8 as a minority owner for the time being, hoping to eventually deal in larger, industrial and commercial properties.

Connecting with likeminded investors in South Florida is important. Although I will be attending law school in Davie, FL, I can still take the time to go look at properties or meet up in the WPB/Broward/Miami-Dade areas.

Hobbies include beach days, art exhibits and the farmers market
