Really, the tax appraised value? I actually put in a bid about the exact tax appraised value and was denied. I figured you meant HUD's appraised value. My realestate agent hasn't ever bid on a HUD home so I have had to do all the research myself. Thanks for the help. :D

Thanks RE Investor, I don't really think this current house is worth that much but I will use those numbers when I bid on another one.

Can anyone offer me any advice about submitting bids. I offer what I think is a good price for these houses and I have yet to win one. Is there a secret? I have heard that the winners are picked by a computer, is there some secret code to get my bid picked? Any advice or knowledge on winning bids will be greatly appreciated! -Stephanie
