Eric W. - I am sure you cant go wrong with any school. A license is a license, and with anything, you will learn the most once you actually get your feet wet and start practicing RE. The classes arent terribly large... I would say they have ranged anywhere from 12-24 people. A lot of interaction/questions between instructor and students. If there is anything else you can think of, let me know! I know I had lots of questions prior to committing.

Hey Eric W. -

I too posted this question back when I set up a profile with BiggerPockets with a majority recommeding AZ School of RE & Business. Like Tracy and David mentioned above, they have a Scottsdale and Gilbert location. I am a few classes into it and have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. I have had a few different instructors and all have a wealth of RE experience and are able to communicate the info well. I look forward to going to class every time. Check out their website, asreb.com. Only $399 to get enrolled with other fees involved (fingerprinting, state exam, etc.) as you get closer to completion. It spells it all out online.

If you have any questions or concerns let me know!

Hey Jason Grosso,

Welcome to BP... I am also new on here and a Gilbert resident. Looks like you are off to a great start, nice work! I will have to check out those podcasts you mentioned... if you havent already, listen to the one Joshua Dorkin & Brandon Turner recently did with Marty Boardman (also from Gilbert). It's AWESOME and very informative.

Best of luck!

Hey Seth Williams,

Gilbert is a nice "town" - as they call it. Definitely love living here and is an awesome place to raise a family. Thanks for reaching out Seth and hope to talk to you again soon!

Hey Tracy Royce & Paul Falbo,

Thanks for the comment and advice. Makes perfect sense that I will get the most out of the classes being there in person versus something online. I have had a few others I know also recommend AZREB... now I just need to commit to it and sign up! Hope to interact with you both again soon!

Thanks Justin S., Steven Hamilton II, and Brandon Turner!

Justin - I have done some research on local RE Schools, such as Arizona School of Real Estate & Business and Arizona Academy of Real Estate, but is there one you recommend? I have also read that doing RE school online could be a better alternative. Thoughts?

Good afternoon BP,

My name is Jake and I am currently a marketing analyst for a large local business, but have had a strong desire to pursue real estate investing for many years. Over the past six months, specifically, I have spent a lot of time reading/researching and trying to learn as much as possible, before I really dive into this. I am currently in the process of putting together a business plan and am also considering real estate school to get a better understanding of RE fundamentals.

My goal is to work at least one deal (wholesale, birddog, or rehab) at some point in 2013. I look forward to coming back to BP daily to learn more from the valuable resources available! Thanks!
