There are all kinds of real estate courses out there. Are you looking for a particular asset class or more agent specific?

@Caroline Gerardo unfortunately this is a gentleman and his company is out of Atlanta GA. I’m very familiar with the Van Gundy case

It’s unfortunate so many scammers out there.

Quote from @Caroline Gerardo:

The case is 5:23-cv-00700, Securities and Exchange Commission v. Van Gundy et al. SEC is after them for fraud. I doubt there are remaining assets. Also two bankruptcy filings. Orange Beacon filed against them as well. There are older cases three years ago as well under different company names.

Get a private investigator to look up all related LLC's, their names on real estate in Texas, Georgia, North Carolina... pretty easy to find a couple 100. Then see if any assets are not already sold off/ in foreclosure. Records are public with every county but this takes time or digital tools. Giving a private investigator $500 will be better spent than the $5000 retainer and $375 hourly for an attorney. If you find assets to lien not listed in the BK or SEC filing then you have something to sue over. Call Greg Hecht (who I would refer as attorney) if you intend to pursue.

Unfortunately there are MANY real estate syndications, fintech real estate apps for smaller investors, and partnership deals that are going bad because the market is no longer to the moon.  All have the same flaws: claim unbelievable returns, website looks good until you dig in, fees are exorbitant, and the boss has no track record in real estate.

@Chris Seveney we just thought since the individual and his company is in GA and the investors are from all over that may be the easiest, but would not mind having the contact anyway just to check. Thanks

I’m looking for a litigation attorney near Atlanta GA. There is a fund manager that owes several people money. The current lawyer has collected some funds, but there are 6 owed money that is in current litigation and 3 others that came forward. The current lawyer thinks we should get another attorney. We believe it may be a ponzy scam and also know if criminal charges could be held against him? Any help or recommendations would be appreciated. We want this settled and prevent him from doing this to other people.
