Is it worth investing in India when you live in the USA?

How does transfer of money work back here?

My business partner in India is asking me to invest in property in India. Areas like Manali, India for commercial use such as tourism. I’m not aware of international issued and if it’s a good idea.

Any advise will be very helpful.

@John C. Plan on just buying the door. We do have the option to buy one of the two properties with 2 apartments on top. This location is in Carlstadt,NJ.

Does anyone have any thoughts of buying a liquor store now? How does one know if a store is a good purchase or not?
