Thanks, Ivy.  That's how I always did it when I was an agent but that was may years ago and now I took a course that taught it different and since the agents I spoke to had different opinions I was wondering if something had changed in the last 10 years.

Hello,

I am hoping one of you real estate brokers or agents can answer a question for me. When numbering addendum's, what is the proper way?  For example, I was taught that if you have a price change addendum # 1 and then agree to adjust the price again later on it would be Addendum #2 because you are still dealing with the price.  But, if you need to do a second addendum later on for something different,  such as adding a buyer to the contract, the second addendum would also be Addendum #1 because it is for a different thing being changed. Some agents I talk to agree this is the correct way to do it but others say that since you already had Addendum #1 for the price change, the additional buyer addendum would be Addendum #2 because both are addendum's to the Purchase agreement.  Which is correct? I'm in California.
