Thank you for your welcome to BP.  We do deals both in California and out of state.  The deals we do out of state are primarily in Ohio. As you mentioned, you can often do more with your real estate investment dollars when you invest out of California. 

Our plan is to continue investing both locally, in Arizona and in Ohio. 

We belong to a local real estate investing group and several of our colleagues invest out of state like yourself.  3 of our colleagues are currently investing in Illinois where they have a property management company set up to manage their "buy and hold" property.   We would also be interested in meeting up.

Our kids enjoy playing the game cash flow as well.  It's certainly teaches great principals and I have to say that you can't play it without getting bit by the entrepreneur bug!

Business ownership and real estate are our family's passion.  My oldest daughter is in her second year of a class called virtual enterprise at her high school.  My husband and I are so impressed with the quality of the curriculum and really enjoy seeing her learn valuable life skills while still in high school.  If you have kids in high school you definitely want to encourage your kids to take this class if your school offers it!

As far as having our kids be involved in real estate they have all joined us doing odd jobs on our house flips and each of them have learned valuable life skills while doing so.

My husband Corey and I have been investing in Real Estate for the past 25 years. 

Currently we are investing in the Murrieta and San Diego, California area.  We have done house flips in Alberta, Canada, LA, San Diego, Murrieta and Ohio.  

Corey's most recent venture involves rehabbing a gas station in San Diego.  The gas station has room for 2 restaurants and we just opened the first restaurant last month.  

We would like to connect with other real estate investors in our area who have discounted residential or commercial property (specifically properties with gas stations), venture funders, and individuals with discounted mortgage notes.

We enjoy networking with other investors and find that "together everyone achieves more."
