@john turner

We just went live with AirBnB before Christmas, we are currently working on setting up our VRBO account.  Not sure if they will allow it but this is the link to our tiny home on AirBnB.

 https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/10058229?s=LYg_VBr0.

We have been really happy with AirBnB so far and will probably be on VRBO within the next week.  Our occupancy rate at this point would probably be in the 15-20% range, but we are just over one month into doing this and have recently started to get considerable traffic after our first reveiws came in, and we have been getting bookings into the fall.

Robbinsville offers some really good value on certain properties.   I would say the rental season is much shorter than Bryson City's due to not having the train traffic in the post leaf season, but it is certainly pretty over there.  Joyce Kilmer is one of our favorite places to go, and in my younger days I would paddle the Cheoah which is an amazing river.

Raman,

What sizes were the kids beds? And what is the stairway width and headroom?

Shirley,

I appreciate the compliment.  We will actually be starting a similar tiny home in West Asheville on Westwood Place in the next month or two for my partners sister in law.  We also do rehab work if your in the market for any construction help.

Thanks,

Kyle

Hello Bigger Pockets,

My name is Kyle Henry and I am from the thriving metropolis of Bryson City, NC (approx. population of 1500), which is located about an hour southwest of Asheville, NC at the foot of the beautiful Great Smoky Mtn. National Park.  I have had an account for a couple of years and have finally decided to make the plunge after listening to the podcasts and the constant call to action has finally resonated.

I currently work as a project manger for a small construction company and am actively working part time with my partner in our real estate company.  We are in the final stages of refinancing our first project which is just ending its third year.  We purchased a lot in city limits with a mobile home which we rented for a short time before selling it to begin construction of our first duplex.  We then subdivided two additional parcels and built another duplex and a fixed foundation tiny home.  We are renting the duplexes on yearly leases and are self managing the tiny home as a nightly rental through AirBnB.  We are in the final stages of refinancing and are excited to move forward with our next projects.

With our extensive construction background we are actively seeking raw land, flipping projects, or rehab projects on parcels that can be subdivided to yield addtional building lots.  We have had tremendous feedback from our first project and are excited for 2016 and creating new opportunities and partnerships to bring our vison to fruition.

Looking forward to being a member of the community!

Thanks,

Kyle Henry

Our finished first project!!!  Our tiny home nightly rental and our two duplexes in the background.
