Quote from @Dustin Faeth:

Unemployment has been steadily on the rise for the past several months and just hit 4.3% recently which is the highest it's been in a couple years.

Anything below 5% is considered full employment by economists. And despite the slight rise in unemployment this month, unemployment claims went down.

actually yes I had to take my wife to ER in Jackson she had a TIA and of course when you go to the ER with heart or Stroke they move you right in.. So no complaints there..
Yeah, I have a problem when it comes to ERs. Even when I have massive infections like that appendicitis, I don't run fevers. Makes it hard to get past triage. I even lost a kidney due to this problem.

Quote from @Dustin Faeth:

It's not a good thing....the last thing we need is more government spending and handouts which is going to increase inflation. Terrible policies like this and government overspending is what put us in the bad position we're in right now as a country

I don't think we are in a bad position as a country. We have full employment, inflation is down, interest rates are high, but not outrageously so, we just got spoiled. However, I think the only 'handout' I think we need right now is the child tax credit which both parties claim to support. We can start limiting the rest of our social welfare programs by simply raising minimum wage to a living wage.

Well, we do have this Tiny House fad right now, but can someone explain to me how these are any better than an old fashioned trailer?

You disparage a group based upon there ethnicity or color of there skin.

I'm not disparaging white people (I am white) I'm disparaging white nationalism. Do you not know what that is?

Ya Susan unless you have to go to the ER and are now #20 behind more than half of the folks there with no insurance and just using the ER for their daily doctor IE colds etc.. and we are paying 2k a month in health insurance and medicare  to get what last in line behind those that pay zero.. it can be pretty frustrating ..

Oh, I understand that problem, but did you ever have to go to an ER in Mississippi which has relatively few immigrants? I had to wait four hours before I could see anyone while suffering from appendicitis. Mississippi's  refusal to extend Medicaid led to the closure o 32 rural hospitals. We have entire counties without a single doctor or nurse.

But it was because of the problem of immigrants filling our ERs in California that they recently decided to extend MediCal low-income undocumented workers.  As you know California depends on migrant labor.

Well, I'm glad you agree that those who can't repay their student loans should be allowed to declare bankruptcy. In that case, problem solved. Most of the people Biden has been trying to forgive are those who had been paying for decades but still owed more than they originally borrowed.

Obviously you consider it a shame these kids can't pay off their student loans but a businessman who doesn't is fine with you. That certainly shows your elitism!

First offense border crossing is considered an infraction under federal law subject to a fine of between $50-$200. If that makes them criminal so are you when you ran that red light twenty years ago. Also, our federal law allows people to seek asylum whether or not they enter through a legal port of entry so long as they present themselves to the proper authorities within a year after they enter. That's why they wait so patiently for Border Patrol to pick them up once they cross the border.

Note, I said they were not eligible for most *federal* aid. What these Southern Governors did in their Reverse Freedom Rides campaign was send them to cities that had *local* "right to shelter" ordinances. What would normally happen before this is they would stay a few days in a shelter run by a non-profit like Catholic Charities. After that they are often provided with a bus ticket to wherever they have family in the US (most do.) If they are asylum seekers they will likely find casual work until they can get a temporary work permit. Yes, they can get emergency care regardless of ability to pay at an ER just like everyone else. You can blame that socialist Ronald Reagan for that law. I don't know where you got the figure of it costing us a trillion dollars, but indigent care in the last twenty years hasn't cost that much and that includes immigrants and citizens! I'm guessing your "evidence" comes from either FAIR or CIS, both organizations founded by a eugenist. I do avoid anything published by white nationalists.

It's more like a world economic forum thing. Unfortunately they rule the world eventhough they aren't elected politicians.

The World Economic Forum is made up of a bunch of Capitalists!

There has actually only one time in our history where the federal government has not been in debt and that was during the presidency of Andrew Jackson. It brought on a huge recession. But I'll grant you things are now out of control. I believe in Keynesian Economics, the problem is we always do the easy part and never the hard part. The easy part is to spend out way our of a recession or other emergency. The hard part, though, is to raise taxes when the economy is overheated. It takes longer but has the same effect as raising interest rates. And unlike raising interest rates the government gets something out of it, and hopefully doesn't have to do as much deficit spending the next time an emergency comes along. The problem, of course, is that raising taxes is never the way to win an election.
