Quote from @Jason Malabute:

Hey Nick,

Just a heads up — we’re not allowed to make direct referrals or promote services on this forum (BiggerPockets rules), so I can’t name specific firms. But a simple Google search like “CPA for real estate investors in California” should give you a good starting point.

Also, when you mentioned you have bookkeepers, I’m guessing they might be offshore? If you’re not a CPA or trained in accounting yourself, there may be things getting missed — simply because you don’t know what you don’t know. That’s totally normal, but it’s important.

When you do find a CPA, make sure they’re doing more than just plugging in numbers. They should review your books, clean things up if needed, and ensure everything is categorized properly. Bonus points if they specialize in real estate — that way you’ll know you’re maximizing your deductions and taking advantage of all the tax strategies available to real estate investors.

I live in CA. My RE is in OH, MO, and IL.

My bookkeepers are both in the United States.

Thanks for your replies. I filled out the info via the BP section that you mentioned so that I can be contacted and be furnished quotes for this year's return. Thanks for your input and advice!

It may still be worth it to retain that firm is they did a good job. Tax service fees are rising across the board, and quality work is more difficult to find every year.

I’m simply not prepared to pay someone nearly $6000 to simply copy my bookkeepers data and file taxes for me. I am looking for an alternate option.

I have two LLCs that hold a combined total of roughly 30 addresses. I have a bookkeeper for each LLC. I just need someone that handles RE to assist in Tax Preparation and filing.

I always file an extension and file my return in October. So I have time.

I live in CA and have W2 income here. I own RE in OH, MO, and IL.

I just need a suggestion or three on which firms or companies are reliable for this task. The last CPA firm I used for the past 3-4 years doubled my tax prep/filing fee so I elected to move on this year. Thanks so much in advance!

I am looking to network with rehabbers, flippers, or buy & hold investors that do work in Dayton, Ohio.

I am creating a buyer's list to send my deals to when I make purchases. I will carry the paper on low down payments with no qualifying. A great opportunity for a win-win partnership.

Currently just working in and around Dayton, OH. Thanks and hapy investing!

I know of a couple of people in the classes/school/course. I don't know anyone actually doing it yet.

I would love to network with someone actively Slow Flipping in Ohio. I simply have some questions and would love to connect to pick your brain.

Anyone out there actually Slow Flipping in Ohio? I reached out to some CL ads that I could tell were slow flips, no replies though as of yet. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share some time with me.
