Thanks for your replies. It's actually very motivating to be able to know that I can do it and age will not be an issue. I will keep you posted, and I look forward to learning a lot from the members on the forum. :D

Hey guys I'm a new member and I'm currently 17 years old (18 in 5 months) and I am interested in investing, especially real estate since its the most profitable. I Recently attended a free rich dad seminar and signed up for the 495 dollar course which i will be attending in the next month.

( I read about some reviews and most negative but i feel it will give me a good introduction right?)

Now will it be a problem for people to take me seriously just because of my age? I already started investing in cd's, and money markets but that is not doing it for me. Currently i have $5,000 in investments ( i know its not much) and i want to continue to grow that.

No one at my school (of about 2000 students) share the same passion as me except maybe a few exceptions. And my mom is very supportive but my dad thinks its stupid.

But in general do you think i will have a good experience at the seminar, be able to get started in REI, and actually be taken seriously?
