Well, I needing to leave NY for warmer weather and a slightly slower pace. My brother and his wife have lived in Bham AL for several years and told me to give it a try.

I came for two weeks, liked what it had to offer and moved. It's the South, but Bham is much more progressive and larger then you might think. The economy here is also very strong. For investing it looks good.

While in the process of flipping a property, would it be a good idea to put it into an LLC or trust during the rehab? I heard doing this may limit your liability if someone falls and sues you. They can't access your other properties. Any opinions?

Hi,

My name's Ivan. I'm a residential/commercial mortgage broker based in Birmingham, AL. I work mostly with homebuyers and a couple of investors sprinkled in.

I'm originally from NY. I've been in Bham for a year. I've done a couple of flips in Upstate NY. I see there are great investment possibilities in Bham. It's exciting.

In my off time I've been scouting properties. Looking to perhaps also partner with someone and do some rehabbing.

Good Luck all!
