@Syed Zafar Yes I need to probably be creative in getting some experience of managing during school but it sounds like it’s not likely I’ll be able to get approved for the loan and that’s fine. I know man! The itch of getting started is real but I need to wait out for now. Thanks for your comment and I’d love to get connected with you!

@Chris Pasternak I for sure have been watching too many YouTube videos and podcasts and all that on RE investing. I know I’ve accomplished a lot as a student but I want more! I think you’re right though. I do need to focus on getting through school for now and get my steam of income first. Then think of investing later on. Patience! Thank you for your comment!

@Anish Tolia Student loans allow you to spend the money on housing. However, I do agree with your thoughts on high risk with no reserve. I think I do need to wait until I have a more steady income stream to start investing. Thanks a lot for your thoughts.

@Ben Riechmann Thank you for your input! I do need to assume the worst case scenario if things go south. I’ll also try my best to keep pushing to be creative as well!

@Frederick P wallberg Most of the investors take out loans to fund their investment properties too. It’s just that I’m using loans for the down payment as well.

@Frederick P wallberg I’m just trying to think outside the box. Using student loans to fund my first house hacking could mean reducing my monthly living expense while building equity. It’s called leverage. I do admit that’s a lot of leverage and risk and perhaps it’s a little more than the level I feel comfortable with. Anyways, I do not think it’s a horrible idea if it’s a good deal and numbers work out.

@Caroline Gerardo I have been reading books, listening to podcast and learning about RE investing for a couple months now so I thought perhaps I should get started now. But I think you're right. Wonderful things do come in time and I just have to be patient about it. Thanks again for helping out a rookie like me!

@Dave E. Wise words! I agree with you. Thank you for your input. I was hoping to do house hack while being in school but I guess it's too risky!
