There is  plenty of traffic here in the Los Angeles area and unexpected situations can arise to further delay an agreed upon meeting time.  My time is just as important and valuable as a contractor or potential tenant wanting to view a vacancy.  If they don't have the courtesy to give me a call heads up that they can't make it or will be delayed, I don't wait beyond 15-30 minutes.

Hi Phil and thank you for the input.

Many years ago, we did lease from a company that I believe is no longer in operation.  A technician would come out on a regular basis and to empty the coin operated machines and give us our percentage.  I believe the reps were bonded and insured but can't be sure about that now.

We suspected we were receiving less than what our return should be so we replaced the laundry room door locks.  The technician no longer had free access and had to empty and count the coins in front of us.  Our percentage increased dramatically.

We cancelled the relationship with the leasing company and purchased our own machines.  It has been many years since and we have pretty much been problem free maintenance wise and from skimmers.

We are still looking to replace one set of washer and dryers ....

Has anyone any experience with LG commercial coin operated washer and dryers for their apartment buildings?  Any recommendations??!!

We purchased brand new Speed Queen commercial coin operated washer and dryers and have had nothing but problems in that they like to give free wash loads to our tenants.

We are replacing older top loading Speed Queen washers with front loading ones and always trusted the reliability, dependability and quality of Speed Queen but they must have changed something in circuitry boards.  Besides dealing with the distributor sales manager here in the Los Angeles area who insinuates we are the cause of the problems by opening the service door to the washer doesn't sit well with us as we are not opening the service door....only his service reps have opened the service door.

Hi, We recently replaced an older Speed Queen coin operated top loading washer and dryer with a new front loading (also coin operated) washer and dryer.  We're keeping our fingers crossed because the first new machine had nothing but problems in that it was giving free washes to the tenants.  The distributor service technicians came out time and again and did everything they could to try and fix the problem.  Even the western regional manufacturing rep that manufactures these washer/dryers was out and couldn't figure what was causing the problem.  The machine was exchanged for another new one which came out of the box and everything seemed okay.  Until a week later, the green start light came on again which mean if you press the start button, the machine would start right up.  You didn't have to insert any coins which mean free washes.

The circuit board was checked again and the distributor service rep came out and made yet another adjustment per the regional manufacturing representatives instructions...so far, everything seems to be okay.  Its always been a wait/see because everything seems to be fine when the servicing is done...but given at most a couple weeks, the green start light would  automatically comes on all by itself again....giving free washes.

Speed Queen distributor sales manager for the Los Angeles area is now insinuating we are opening the service door of the washer, causing the green light to come on.  We do not know how to service the machine and are not opening the service door.

We've always known Speed Queen to be durable, reliable, and it is American made I believe.  Yet with all these problems we have had with the new washer, we had to dispute the credit card payment especially in light of the fact that the service technicians couldn't put a finger on what was causing the the start light to come on at random times.

Not happy with the Los Angeles area Speed Queen distributor sales manager at all.  We are going to look into LG commercial coin operated washer and dryers...
