Hi everyone. When filing your taxes as a Real Estate Profesional. What can't and what CAN you log to meet your 750 hours!?? We're buy and hold investors. So examples: my monthly trip to the apartments to sweep walk ways? Time at Open Houses looking at potential rentals? Trips to Home Depot? Any advice on how to make sure we log appropriately would help. Thanks in Advance Everyone!

@John Lenhart Thanks for reaching out. No I dont. What I meant is I want to expand to Cincinnati.  As of this weekend I'm in the process of buying a duplex in Delhi Township. The RE I do own today is in LA.

hi @Mathew Fitzgerald congrats on your 1st deal in Cincinnati. I also pulled a heloc on my primary to invest and I'm also looking in Cincinnati for cash flow in MF. Did you fly out there? To close. I'd like to connect with you. Sounds like were in similar situations.

also I did have my contact in Cincinnati who is a contractor I grew up with who moved to Cincinnati go do a walk through inspection with my Realtor. That's how we came up with the amount needed to freshen it up and minor repairs needed. Its in a nice residential area mostly professionals.
