Hi Shobha,

Are you set with investing in Florida? If you are interested in out of state, the budget you have is perfect for building a portfolio in the mid-west. Feel free to reach out if you want to discuss further

Hi Parekh,

i know Cleveland and Columbus are equally good but I have no idea on the market there. Being in Minnesota for 9 years I know the winters out additional cost on the home. Which is why I would avoid Midwest, but may be I am wrong.

Hey Shobha...I actually live in Riverview (for 22 years now) and did a stint on Brandon's Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. If I can answer your questions, I'm happy to do so. Let me know what questions you might have or let's schedule a chat so I can talk through the areas you have in mind. Thanks, Doug

Thanks Dough. I would like to know what the rental yield is for these two suburbs. Or if there are better suburbs with good rental yield for single homes near Tampa?

Hi,

I am a foreign investor living in Australia, who used to be in the U.S for 10 yrs and came out only at 2022. I am thinking about buying an investment property in the range $250k to $310k in Dallas. I am typically looking for turn key, LTR properties. Which suburbs should I look at?

I would also like to know what's the best interest rate I can get being a foreign investor

 Thanks

I am a foreign investor who has been in the U.S for 7 years but I had to leave and currently living in Sydney, Australia. I can get the finance sorted out and the reason I do not want ot invest in Australia is because of expensive homes.  Any word of advice or suggestion?

Shobha,

I would look around South Shore/Big Bend area you can find some decent homes 3/2-4/2 from $225K-$350K.  I would stay away from "turnkey" homes and try to focus on homes that might need a little TLC.  Tampa and surrounding areas are a little over priced right now but if you can focus on the homes that need some basic upgrades and simple renovations you will get a better deal.  You can always buy the home using a renovation loan and tackle anything that needs renovations/repairs up front.

That's helpful. Why should I avoid turnkey houses? Any suggestions on Jacksonville or Orlando?
