Hi everyone,

I was looking through the old posts about bidding on HUD properties and wanted to know if anyone had any recent experience bidding on those types of properties. I see a lot of mention of offering 80%, etc. Is that the latest info? Also, any agents here who have experience bidding on HUD properties in Florida?

Thanks you both for the responses, I became a little concerned there.  I will look for a lender who doesn't have that kind of restriction.

Hi everyone,

I am interested in getting a multi unit property as a first time home buyer. I was thinking of just going for it and getting a fourplex with an FHA loan but I am hearing from someone that I am speaking with at Quicken Loans that the max that I can buy with an FHA loan is a 2 unit property, is that correct? I was hoping to move to and buy something in the Huntsville, AL area

Thank you
