Perfect. Thanks for the input everyone! I'm interested in Chicago 1) because we visit family close by annually. Good way to keep boots on the ground somewhat. 2) I've heard it's a pretty decent market and would make for a decent write off for travel expenses. I will definitely keep Florida in mind as well as it's in my own backyard. We live in southern jax, northern st Augustine area. Anyone recommend any quality turn key companies in these areas? Curious if anyone has any experience in absentee buy and hold SF rentals with a turn key management company? Also interested in Chicago market as we live in Florida but my wife's family is in Illinois. We travel up north annually so would make for a nice write off, lol. Any input helps, thanks!

Hello BP Nation!

My name is Brandon, I'm 33 years old, married with a beautiful 2 year old daughter. I'm a career Firefighter with the city of Jacksonville and run a small business on my off time. I've had an interest in REI for some time now. My interest has long been with buy and hold rental properties. I'm slowly progressing in my knowledge and look forward to learning more and more with BP and hopefully some take home nuggets from other experienced investors as well.
