Hello!! How soon after buying a home can you get a HELOC and what is the process? I'm about 3mons in my new home and need to do some repairs. I would love to go about it this way unless there is a better way of going about it. Any and all advice is welcome. Thank you!

@Dom Battezzato I was going to start off by posting on social sites and do fliers since I really don’t have the money for advertising.

@Dom Battezzato just bought my first SFH using FHA. I'm just trying to find other ways to fund other deals. Looking for multi-family but it looks like everyone is going that route making pickings slim. 🤷🏽‍♀️

@Joe Miller yeah. I was only going to do it to be able to fund future investments. I just purchased my first SFH and looking to buy more properties. Primarily multi-family.

@Jay Hinrichs I read multiple books that say you don’t need any money upfront for advertising. You just take advantage of places like social media, Craigslist and etc. For me, that wold be the way to go since I’m just starting out and was one reason wholesaling was attractive. What are your thoughts?

@Jerry Puckett that’s excellent! And 6 figs sounds good to me! I’m just looking to find ways to fund investments and one day quit my 9-5! I would like to pick your brain some time to see what strategy you used if that’s ok. 🤔

@Shane Kelly is wholesaling seen more as illegal or something? I was looking to do the reassignment of contracts. I think that’s what it’s called.

Is it a good strategy for getting into and funding future investments?
