@Lydia R. I have looked at county records but I just do not have a way to contact the owner. The address is wrong on the county records. I think I might have located the owner in Texas but not 100% sure and there is no phone number.

Hello,

I am having problems locating the owner of a abandoned duplex. It appears that the property has gone through foreclosure and has been put in many sheriff sales. However, it is unclear who is still in possession of the property. There is no real estate agent to ask either and no phone numbers or emails. Does anyone have any advice on moving forward? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello,

I am currently in the process of my first deal with my partner. However, the property has been robbed of the copper in the house (this includes the breaker box, some piping, and the electrical meters outside). I am trying to figure up the costs of repair, different contractors, pumpers, and electricians. I have been looking on Angie's list is there a better option or a more proper way to this?

Thank you in advance for your advice and support.

Keep me informed for the next one. I can't attend meet ups on Wednesday nights but am very interested to attend a meet up some time.

@Deborah Burian it went very well actually connected very well with an investor and exchanged business cards with him.

@Omar Khan Thank you for your concern but I am not following the advice of a "guru" as you say. I also plan to expand my market past Skiatook I have no one specific area as of right now. As of right now I drive for dollars to try to find potential properties.

@Deborah Burian I actually am attending my first one tonight which I am very excited about. Any advice? I recently just made some business cards to hand out as well.

@Michael S., Thank you for such a warm welcome! I hope everything is going well for you and your business. What is your favorite part about Bigger Pockets?

Hello fellow Bigger Pockets members! My name is Shelby Colter and I am 21 years old perusing a career as a wholesaler/realtor and working towards my degree to teach middle school English. I am literally just starting out driving for dollars making business cards trying to network and find potential investors in the area. To be honest I am still nervous trying to find that first great deal but very eager to learn. My specific real estate goal is to be comfortable enough to wholesale and contract with investors and eventually get my realtors license to sale houses. Also, flipping a house has always interested me but I do not have the resources at this time to do so. I became acquainted with Bigger Pockets from my boyfriend as we shared our mutual interest in real estate. He encouraged me to listen to the Podcasts (number 42 in my favorite). Now I am hooked and am really enjoying reading the blogs and forums as well.
