Hi Charles and Richard,

Thanks for reaching out.

@Charles I was looking at NJ, Alabama and Colorado. But wouldn't mind expanding my search.

@Richard definitely would like to hear your side of the story and how you got there!

Hi everyone,

I am a newbie to real estate investing but have been reading up and improving my knowledge on the market for a couple of months and came across BP. The reason I decided to purchase my first property in the US was because my home country has a very bad housing market (for about 75k-100k you can find half built or poorly built houses. Proper houses cost more than 150k-200k) and the rental prices are very low to sustain the house values.

In the US I saw that I can buy a decent property for close to 60-100K and still make an income through the rent. So my business partner and I decided to invest here through an LLC. We are still looking to secure capital, mortgage and the best places to look for good property. Anyone in the same situation as we are?

Thank you
