how does a home equity line exactly work? Do they write you a check for the assessed value of your home? Or the market value? And being a investor is my job so would they ask for any proof of income?

Hello as you can read on my profile I am a new real estate investor. And I have 2 homes. I currently am trying to achieve my 3rd home. So I was wondering is it possible to use my property as collateral to a bank for another property I find? Or could I use the houses for collateral for a cash loan? Any answers advice or tips would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you. From your new member Shaw development
