@Nick Tzenevrakis it sounds like you've put a lot of thought into this! I have friends who live in Wentzville and love it. When I was growing up in STL that sentence would have seemed impossible. It has bloomed like crazy. 

@Blake Brose "Investing is not up or down market specific, strategies are up or down market specific." It sounds like there are things that tend to work in different types of markets. 

How would someone do that?

It'd be great to hear a story or example of you took advantage of the type of market we're in now if you'd be willing to share (or how your think someone might do that).

Nice to meet you @George Blower. My husband is originally from Michigan, though the other side of the state. 

SO great to meet you @Nick Tzenevrakis. Quincy feels super close. Out of curiosity, are you looking for a specific area in STL or a specific type of property? How did you come to make those decisions?

Hi there. I'm Sharon Gutowski, a possible future real estate investor from St. Louis, MO. I've been thinking about alternative income models for awhile. 

I'm a few years away from my first purchase I imagine, because I'm still solidifying my goals and strategies. My instinct is that I'll want to purchase single family houses or small multi-family houses, but time and research will tell for sure. 

I also love art, music, and finding host families for foreign exchange students. 

@Clayton Woodward great! I'll check it out. It could be a little while before I can make it, my job is freelance writing and my schedule can be unpredictable. 

I'm interested, but would probably have a hard time making evenings work.
