Post: Question About Capital Gains Usage

If a pass through LLC that owns two properties sells one of them for a capital gain, can that gain be used entirely to fund the construction of a project at the other property?

Would a capital gains tax still incur if the capital is used as an expense to the other property?

Thanks

Thanks Jared! I am networking by online meetup groups at the moment, due to the pandemic. I would like to meet more people in person but the next couple months will probably have to be virtual. The deals I am trying to find funding for are around 40-200k. I'd love to hear your opinion on hard money lending in my position. I'm having a hard time even just getting a response back from lenders.

Hey bigger pockets people, I am a 19 year old that just started working with a property management and real estate investing group. I started a successful marketing campaign to generate prospective investment properties. Now I'm working to find an investor to fund these properties. Anybody have tips for networking better to build my investor list.
