Post: Tree Roots growing into plumbing

Quote from @Malcomb Stapel:
Quote from @Shane Quin:

I have a duplex where the plumbing was getting backed up.

Had a plumber go out there and put a camera in the lines and turns out there are roots growing into the plumbing from a nearby tree.

The quote to rip out and replace the plumbing was a staggering number.

My thought is to cut down the tree to stop the growing and then eventually put the liner in the plumbing.

Any experience with this?

All advice appreciated.

Pretty common for tree roots to grow into a cast line or clay. See if they can run the cutter through there and clean it out. There might be a product you can treat the line with to help slow the process down.

They jetted it out, concerned if it will continue to be an issue in the future or not.

Quote from @Jonathan Bock:

@Shane Quin

Pretty standard stuff could they not use the jet?

Vegetation and Tree Removal are crucial especially for these lower end properties

They did jet it out, I just mean going forward.  Or have you found it doesn't continue to be an issue?

What are some of the softwares for tracking bills?

I am thinking of hiring a Book Keeper, CPA, or Assistant to help in running and scaling my fix and flip and long term rental business.

Any advice from those with more experience in this field are appreciated.

Is there any Artificial Intelligence software that help in bookkeeping.

I currently use google sheets to try and keep track of everything but feel there has to be a more automated way to doing this.

Thank you

I am looking to scale my house flipping business.
I have someone who I want to pitch to be a private investor and fund a flip from start to finish.

Wondering if anyone has experience doing this and would like to offer some advice.

Also looking for any recommendations as far as how to ideally structure the funding for the deal.

Thank you

I have flipped a few houses in Geauga/Lake County.  I am looking to grow and expand more, but need to find a better contractor who is reasonable and reliable.  I plan to start BRRRRing some properties as well as continuing flipping.  The guy I have right now does pretty decent work but is unreliable and takes far too long.

 Any recommendations?
