Hi guys, starting out in real estate and I wanted to know if there were any REI clubs in the North Jersey where one can network as well as learn about REI. It would be great to see deals other people are working on and how they came to pick it!

This looks pretty good! Nice apt imo. I’m Still new so I don’t know how to structure deals. I’m guessing you could get away with a 3.5% down? Just don’t have that kind of capital right now.

@Alina Trigub Thanks Alina! I would want to do both I suppose. Passive is ideal because it’s a way to generate money without the headache but I would also want to be active as well so I can truly understand this “trade”.

@Neil Pradhanang yeah man, you can’t get a lot for your money up here. I’m open to any multi unit deal or something where half occupancy could allow me to break even each month. I’ve stared looking near college campuses because the deals tend to be better and there’s a constant inflow of students who you can have a parent co-sign the lease on. Off campus housing is a fraction of on campus living!

@Jessica Zolotorofe Looking to buy and hold for an unspecified time! Want somthing that will produce positive cash flow monthly obviously and then continue to buy units until I can just manage those assets and “retire”!

Hi all, brand new to real estate. I’ve been looking in the north jersey area on Zillow for multi-family units but they’re all very expensive. Is north jersey a place a person starting out should even look at for their first investment?

First time investor, interested in learning about real estate investing in the northern New Jersey area. I can offer myself as a personal assistant of sorts, making calls, setting up appointments and working weekends. My previous career was a Med Dev engineer, Currently a Sales Rep for a Med device company.
