Quote from @Marian Huish:

@Logan M. it’s because agents are owners receiving stock awards and passive income opportunities for life just for supporting agents who join the company. What do you receive from Re/Max if you bring agent into the company?  By having agents supporting agents in their success, it creates more collaboration and less competitiveness among agents.  Agents make more and so come from a position on abundance vs scarcity.  The company wins and the agents win.

Yes. THIS! It's because Glenn Sanford worked very hard at KW for years and brought in so many new agents and he realized it only helped the company! So he created something that would keep agents motivated and more secure so they'd want to stay and help the company grow! We receive stock at certain intervals/milestones, can buy it at a discounted rate, receive payments when our downline makes a sale (which comes from the company's share of the deal, not the agent's), and have an amazing culture of supportive collaboration like none I've seen in any company, much less real estate. There are agents who have been at their previous brokerage for 30+ years bringing teams over to eXp to join the excitement, income opportunities and stability that eXp offers. There is also eXp World where you create an avatar of yourself and can go into numerous staffed rooms and ask questions you need answered right then, as well as attend trainings there. I've watched it grow exponentially and it continues to do so. Think about joining! I'd be happy to sponsor you and help you get started here! Reach out to me anytime if you have questions. Happy to help!

Hi Dawn! I'm an investor-friendly agent here in Houston, Texas. I would be happy to sponsor you through eXp! I love it! After you sign up, we will find you a Certified local mentor who will walk you through your first 3 deals. The culture here really is inclusive. And I love how eXp Realty has been growing exponentially and with good reason. It's the only brokerage that gives you stock at certain intervals and allows you to purchase it at a discount. We also have amazing revenue share that comes to you from the company, not from your downline's pockets. Nothing beats it. And I keep seeing more and more leaders bringing their large teams over to us. Some who have been with their previous brokerages for 30+ years!! I doubt that was a rushed decision! The opportunity is just awesome compared to the others! I hope you do decide to join us!

Contact me anytime if you have questions. Text/call/email or message me here! Good luck to you!!!

Hello, I'm new to BP and excited to be here.  What a wonderful source of information, so looking to tap into all this knowledge.

Currently looking at exploring the Midwest, Southern, and Western states for multi-family, new construction, and foreclosures.  Have owned investment properties in the past in Florida, but looking elsewhere.

Any thoughts as so many people are moving out of California, but looking for areas to explore.

Welcome to Bigger Pockets, Brian! Our great state of Texas has lots of investment opportunities. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions I may can help you with. I'm an investor-friendly agent here in the Houston area. I'd be happy to help you locate properties that fit your criteria! I am currently working with out-of-state investors who each have their own unique buy box and I love what I do!

Hi everyone....glad to have become serious about investing in rental real estate property.  I'm currently in the northeast but come to the Houston area often due to family and after many years of analysis paralysis I am ready to make the leap.  I am reading Dave Meyer's book Start With Strategy and appreciate the breakdown of information.  I am looking to make my first purchase this year...preferably a single-family or duplex.  I'm familiar with Katy and Fort Bend but also would love to learn about other areas such as Spring and Cypress.

Please feel free to say hello and I look forward to learning from all the members here

Hello everyone!
I am a newer investor(currently have one rental property Cleveland, Oh) and now am focused on obtaining another in Houston!
I am looking to connect with investor friendly Real Estate agents, contractors, wholesalers, handymen, and lenders.
I would primarily like to invest in the Greater Houston area- Katy, Humble, Cypress etc. I am open to BRRR and buying turnkey.

I am currently located in California. I will be flying out to Houston in May and am able to fly back as needed. I would love to meet and build a team while there. I own my primary residence here in California that will also be a rental in the future. Let’s connect!

Hello Sumit! This sounds like a great plan! I am a Realtor in NW Houston and I'd love to work with you! I am sure I could help you obtain a property here that would suit your needs/wants. I am currently working with an investor from California as well! She invests in Fix and Flips. I was just over at one she is repairing and when contractors complete the project I'll be listing it for her! I lived in Katy for 16 years and I live in Tomball now which isn't far from Humble or Cypress. I'd be happy to assist you with this! Let me know if you'd like to discuss it further. And good luck with everything!

Quote from @Sammy Roy:

I am an out of state investor, looking to invest in my first home. I intend to invest in a 3 BHK single family rental, around 2000-2500 sq ft and good school district in the Houston suburbs of Cypress, Katy and Sugar Land.

Looking to connect with investor friendly agents with knowledge about the region to get an understanding  and initiate conversation.

Hi Sammy! I am a Realtor here in the Houston area. I'm with Realized Properties, brokered by eXp Realty. I live in Tomball, just north of Cypress. And I lived in Katy for 16 years prior. I also have lived about 8 years in West Houston on Hwy 6, just north of Sugarland before that. All of the areas you mentioned do have great schools so I know you've done your research! I'd love to work with you to help you find the right home for this endeavor as well as any others you may seek in the future! Just reach out and I'm happy to put your criteria in for all 3 areas and send you emailed lists of those specific properties which are available. I currently am working with an investor from California. I understand your need for boots on the ground. I just went yesterday to check on one of her properties as it is being repaired and readied for resale soon. Just let me know! Thanks!

Hi, all. I am interested in investing in MFH and am located in the Houston market. What are your thoughts on the Texas City, Lamarque, Baytown areas for section 8 rentals? I understand the varied success and experiences with section 8 rentals but the lesser home prices in the area are intriguing. Any thoughts on the subject will be beneficial!

Hi Casey, I'm a Realtor in Houston. Happy to keep an eye out for what you are looking to get into. Feel free to send your criteria over and if I see anything, I'm happy to let you know!

Quote from @Dominique Colas:

Hi everyone,

My name is Dominique, and I am new to the real estate business. I live in Houston, TX, and I plan on starting in the short term rental hosting business. I am currently searching for a property to rent and sublease on Airbnb and other short term rental sites (rental arbitrage). I have done a lot of research here on bigger pockets and have analyzed the market. I am currently searching in the Spring area near the airport, the woodlands, Splashtown, and hospitals nearby. Right now, I am having trouble finding a property. I have reached out to a few property managers but to no avail. I am not sure how to find owners themselves to pitch to. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions specific to this market? Any info is much appreciated.

Thank you.

If I can help as a Realtor (who lives minutes from Splashtown), contact me! There are townhomes and condos for lease on the MLS. We would just have to check on what they'll allow. Let me know!
