If you trade different stock options, can they still be considered identical for wash sale rules if they have similar dates on the contracts? Are day traders still subject to wash sale rules? Thanks

Can you file 2 years of 1040's for a person that passed away in 2022 but has income for both 2022 and 2023? Or would you have to create an EIN and file 1041 for 2023?

I was wondering what the tax consequences would be if a Roth 401k is transferred to a regular 401k or is that not possible? And what are the future ramifications when withdrawing from the 401k since part of it should not be taxed?

Thanks

If a partnership turns into a single member LLC due to a partner leaving, a new EIN is required but how would a business still keep the branding of their original name if creating an EIN requires a different name?

Create a new LLC that owns the old LLC?

If a partner in a partnership wanted out, would the partnership file a final year return and then convert the LLC to an S-corp or would filing a final year return cause the ein to terminate and the partnership would need a new ein?

Thanks

If someone is a "real estate dealer" and can't report profit as short term gains from developing or flipping property, then wouldn't the best option be to buy and sell through an S-corp since they're a business?
