Basically the law requires you to "hang" your license at a managing broker's establishment so they can find you should you do something horrific or what not. That also means they take some of the pay, of course, until you get a managing broker license. Anyway, you can hang your license there and work whenever you want, provided the broker has no problem with you being a part time producer.

Damn. No respect for teachers and professors. Even those that HAVE done and are now teaching because they've done well. Shame on you for shaming wonderful people.

PS I'm not interested in MLM or marketing groups, I'd rather not pay for info I can find everywhere else.

My name's Sebastian. I live in Chicago. At the moment, I just started the first half of the courses for the real estate exam in Illinois. My mother was a realtor in Florida before the crash and I helped her often, so I liked the work... still do. She doesn't know about Chicago real estate as it's completely different so I'd like to have someone (some people?) to go to when I have a question for the exam or just a general RE question that I come across on the daily here in IL. Eventually my goal is to use the profession as a way to gain some capital for 1. My dream art business (I'm an artist as well) and 2. Investing in passive income properties to feed my passions (even buying properties in places I like to visit often). Hopefully I've found the right spot for this and more! Hope to hear from someone soon and THANKS!

Hello! My name is Sebastian. I'm a regular Jose, in my thirties, latino, blue collar artist and would-be entrepreneur. I've decided to get a broker's license in order to increase my wealth and improve my standard of living before my body starts to give. I chose real estate because my mom works as a Realtor/broker but also because I love architecture and I love Chicago! I drive in the city just for the joy of it, and Chicago has some of the best people in the country so the work seems more like fun. I hope to learn as much as possible, make as much money as possible for the security of me and my family (best friends included!) and to give back to the universe that has given me so much. Looking forward to meeting like-minded people!
