Tile flooring is a popular choice for bathrooms, offering numerous benefits that make it a practical and stylish option. Here are some of the key benefits of tile flooring:

Durability: Tile flooring is highly durable, withstanding heavy foot traffic, water exposure, and spills. This makes it a great long-term investment, as it can withstand daily wear and tear.

Easy maintenance: Tile flooring is easy to clean and maintain, making it an ideal option for busy homeowners. By simply wiping it down with a damp cloth or mop, you can keep it looking clean and shiny.

Variety of styles: Tile flooring comes in a wide variety of styles, colors, and patterns, allowing you to choose a look that matches your personal style and complements the rest of your bathroom décor. This makes it easy to find the perfect tile flooring for your needs.

Hygienic: Tile flooring is hygienic, as it doesn't trap dust, dirt, or allergens like other flooring materials. This makes it an excellent option for people with allergies or respiratory issues.

Waterproof: Most tile flooring is waterproof, making it ideal for areas that are prone to water damage, such as bathrooms. This can help prevent mold and mildew from forming, which can be a common problem in damp areas.

Long-lasting: Tile flooring is known for its longevity, withstanding years of use with proper care and maintenance. This makes it a great option for homeowners looking for a durable and long-lasting flooring solution.

In conclusion, tile flooring is a practical and stylish choice for bathrooms, offering durability, easy maintenance, a variety of styles, and numerous other benefits.

@Mei Li

This is a great question. I would say look at the following:

1. Pull an OPRA report to see if the work was done with permits. Pulling permits does not guarantee high quality work, but at least it will show the work was likely done per code and by a licensed professional.

2. Take a look at the finishes to see if they are low end, mid range or high end. For example, does the bathroom have a $200 home depot vanity or do you see a gorgeous vanity with quartz counter tops and top of the line fixtures. Do the kitchen cabinets look like they're made out of cardboard or are the cabinets custom made and solid wood?

3. Lastly, pay attention to the details. Are the tiles symmetrical with clean grout lines? are the doors and moldings well caulked and painted? Does everything function properly? Do you see a bunch of patches on the walls or do they look professionally painted? Are the paint lines straight? Essentially, high quality craftmanship will have very little imperfections and things will look clean and be functional. On the other hand, lower standard work will have more imperfections that will be more visible and noticeable to you.
