 George,

I will certainly look into the program.  Thank you for the lead!

All, Happy Monday! If you haven’t had a chance to check out this episode of BP, you’re in for an absolute treat. In addition to having an inspirational story, Paul detailed his investing strategy which is a treasure trove of real-estate gold. I can’t wait to implement some of Paul’s lessons into my own personal investing plan. Keep up the great work, Brandon and David! Best, Sean

Juan, As someone who is interested in finding REO opportunities in a different part of the country, I’m curious as to what you’ve learned about the process since posting this discussion. My first thought is to try to contact the banks directly and ask about their REO portfolio, but I’m not sure how efficient or effective that strategy is. Hopefully you’ve found some good news! And, Frank, your post was very informative. Appreciate the detailed comment! Best, Sean

Road trip time?

David and Robert,

I'm curious of your thoughts regarding Peoria.  Did you guys ever make the trip?  I've heard mixed reviews on the area (particularly after Caterpillar's C-Suite move to Chicago), but some interesting news coming out of there nonetheless.

Thank you!
Sean

Hi, Grant!

Congrats on the February Close!  Now that you're locking in on deal number two, have you thought about seeking private lending from persons in your network (e.g. family, friends, mentors, etc.)?   I understand that many people in the BP community will either source loans from non-bank lenders or partner with someone who can fund the deal for interest (or even equity ownership in the property).  There are certainly pros and cons to each.  However, I think that if you were to lock in a private-party loan to fund the second property, you could repay the debt service once your mortgage for property number one is issued in a couple of months.

I'd be happy to hear your thoughts on the above.  Regardless, best of luck!

Sean

Hello, all!

After listening to the BP podcast for a few weeks, I've decided to finally jump into the forums and introduce myself. My name is Sean Snider. I am a practicing attorney in Chicago, Illinois, and an enthusiastic real-estate investor. I hail from Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and own a single-family rental (thanks to the BRRRR method!) in that community. I am looking to continue to grow my portfolio with single and multi-family units in Indiana and Illinois.

I am blown away by how informative this website and associated podcast is for someone looking to became an experienced real-estate investor.  The BP community jumps out as collaborative, supportive and helpful -- and I can't wait to join in on the fun.  Please reach out for any questions or to network!

Best,
Sean
