Hello everyone,

Since COVID 19 has devastated different industries, and everyone is more cautious about how they do business (especially banks and lenders), how will the market look like for lenders after COVID? What can we, as investors, do to take advantage of a situation like this? And what are some serous permanent impacts that we will see?

Post: How Many RE Investors are Engineers?

While I am not an engineer, I certainly see that an engineer could be great, as a lot of objective analysis and decision is involved when designing different structures, and with real estate, that can be a great benefit as a lot of times, people invest out of emotion and make incorrect decisions. Furthermore, in this economic environment, I will definitely suggest for anyone to try to look into replacing their ordinary income with a source of passive income, and I do think that real estate can get the job done.

Since I am overseas in Asia, I will definitely look into Singapore as a country to look into. But in the United States, with a lot of economic and social uncertainty, I will consider areas like Texas where the markets will still stay relatively strong. I have some more data and research about the different markets and would be happy to share some with you.

I absolutely understand your angle and idea. I will reiterate a very commonly used phrase "don't waste a good crisis". There are definitely moments of opportunity that a rookie investor can capitalize on and I think right now, as people are in a lot of uncertainty, a real estate investor has to be very keen and sharp with studying the market and where the industry will head to in the foreseeable future. As a new real estate investor, I do see the struggles that I can potentially face in all phases of the process of buying a property, but I think that staying prepared will allow me to be a lot more confident in my ability to make a decision.

Wow I am so sorry to hear about that. I think the best thing to do right now is to really pursue real estate as your career and expand into this field like you've never done so before. Everything else that is negative is just pure distraction, and you shouldn't allow for those to impact your passion for this field. So just stay focused on your goals, and manage things properly, and everything should work out for you. Best of luck!

Very interesting topic indeed! Foreclosures will definitely get more popular around the end of August, and when winter arrives again. Currently, the markets are being propped up by a sudden increase in buyer demand so I would say that this is definitely something to look into.
