I am writing to explore rental opportunities for a recently renovated property that has been 90% restored following fire damage. My goal is to make this property available to insurance companies, disaster recovery specialists, and individuals displaced by fire, flood, or other catastrophic events.

I am seeking guidance on the most effective approach to market this property, specifically:

  1. Recommended Insurance and Disaster Recovery Contacts
    • Are there specialized companies that manage temporary housing for insurance claims?
    • Which insurance providers or claims adjusters typically handle displacement housing arrangements?
  2. Potential Marketing Strategies
    • Should I directly contact insurance companies to be added to their approved rental property lists?
    • Are there specific national or regional agencies that coordinate temporary housing for disaster victims?
    • What is the most efficient method to connect with potential renters or claims representatives?

My property is fully renovated, furnished and ready for immediate occupancy, making it an ideal solution for families or individuals in need of temporary housing during their recovery process.

I would greatly appreciate any insights, recommendations, or specific contacts that could help me effectively position this property in the disaster recovery housing market.

I have one last question's lot of Insurance company stop writing policy in long island NY. I need a new policy for my single family rental, can any one recommend a insurance company?

Thank you for your professional guidance.

Sincerely,

Quote from @John Mocker:

Sean,

The rental dwelling market for many areas in the Northeast have seen both rate increase and Insurance companies pulling out.  Fortunately there are still companies writing LI.  Without knowing the details of your property I can't suggest a particular company.  I would recommend that you seek out Independent Agents (that represent multiple companies) and have them shop the policy.  John, who writes in suffolk county

Hey Evan,

I am a current Subto member. You should 100% get involved. Pace and his team bring so much value and training that the costs are worth it. The real value is 100% the community and members that makes up Subto. It is a massive network of people helping people do deals.

does it work? how much? is it worth it?

I bought a house at Foreclosure and there is an abandoned boat on the property. I would like to take possession and Rehab the boat too with my son . What steps do I need to take to claim the boat?

I'm buying an REO from a bank. They want me to use their seller alta title policy. Is that a good idea? Can I buy a alta policy from that same title company? The property is located in Long Island New York. Also, can somebody recommend a low fee title company on Long Island? Thank you
