And here I go again up on my soap box and maybe I'm being self centered and do not fit into the "globalist" mold that is so trendy but "quite frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn" about what the rest of civilization does. I was brought up with Constitutional rights. I feel our country was doing wonderfully as a sovereign nation with its borders closed and without the stinking UN. I'm a Capitalist. I love my money. I worked for it its mine. I'm not ashamed of that. What I am ashamed of is seeing my country deteriorated by fools that WE put in office.

Dick, I wish I had known so many people had no idea what Socialism was and that so many were uneducated in politics and economics. I'd have gotten on my soap box sooner. I would never have believed the people in our country would have lost their minds to the point where they would vote out their own freedom and control over their lives.

If I am not mistaken, our country started out as a Democracy (I'm speaking the very beginnings, prior to incorporation of Congress and all of the other elected officials) and morphed into a Republic. And for the most part still remains a democracy at most state levels in that the people do vote to enact and/or repeal laws. Through the continued growth and interference of the government at the federal level, which is the republic ("and to the republic for which it stands".. the US flag not the State of FL, GA, LA, TX etc. flag) it is transforming into Socialism and at times I feel Fascism (or at least exhibiting some traits of it). Hence I prefer most decision making to be made at the state level, in a democracy, where the voices of the people are heard. Not by a dictatorship who tells the states they will do this or will do that or they'll take their tax money and not give it back to fund this or that for the state.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me which process is the most harmful to your credit, Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure or a short sale?

There wasn't a lot of choice. There was bad and then there was really bad.

And don't forget me. I posted this on an earlier rant about this topic that went on for about a week. I hate when people repeat themselves but this seems to be worth repeating:

A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.
The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:
• From bondage to spiritual faith;
• From spiritual faith to great courage;
• From courage to liberty;
• From liberty to abundance;
• From abundance to complacency;
• From complacency to apathy;
• From apathy to dependence;
• From dependence back into bondage.

Global warming hmmm! Sounds like another reason for a tax to me. Did you hear that with less revenue coming in from gas taxes, the Fed can't keep up with all the ways they're throwing our money away and are talking about taxing per mile? So I guess this probably involves some sort of tracking device? What a brilliant idea! Screwing us out of money and invasion of privacy all at once! My house stays at 78, hey, I'm a Floridian...south of Ocala. It helps offset feeling my blood boil.
