I think this is a great site so far. I am on a couple of other REI sites and its almost impossible to get help because the vets hate new guys so much. I understand some noobs choose not to research and just ask lame questions... But some figure out what they can and ask the rest. I AMD like that and I hate to be talked down to because I couldn't figure something out. I watched this site for about a week... Its my favorite already! It seems like you guys get paid to help because you don't hold back at all. So here I am ready to learn. Thank you guys for caring so much!

I almost had my first deal a couple weeks ago. When I was face to face talking with the seller, he told me that he lived about 45 minutes away now so I he only comes back to cut the grass. He mentioned that once we went under contract, he would give me the keys to the place so I could show it. Ever experience that? It is normal?

Great articles! In the second article he began speaking about things I really didn't know that I had to worry about as a wholesaler. Luckily I haven't gotten to my first deal yet lol.

Huntman... Thank you. I have been spending the last few weeks trying to be an investor with no luck. I goined a lot of knowledge but got no where. I guess I was "getting ready to get ready" like someone else said before. Thank you so much for the post because I'm gonna relax my mind right now and redirect my focus. Hello everyone! My name is Sean and I'm brand new to real estate. I'm 22 years old... I have been married for almost 5 months... My wife and I have no kids and I am Active Duty Army (Sergeant E-5) with 4 years in and 4 years left to go.

I got involved in real estate about 3 weeks ago. Besides being in the Army, I'm an independent associate with PrePaid Legal Services, inc. I'm a Director in that business pushing to qualify for Executive Director (for those of you who know the business). Though I love that business, it isn't my ticket to financial freedom. It introduced me to self-developement which i really appreciate. In reading "Rich Dad Poor Dad" i realized that I was part of the "rat race" that Robert Kiyosaki speaks about. I drew up my income statement and balance sheet one day and realized that I have absolutely no assets to work for me. At that time, I fully understood that nothing would change for me until my cashflow learned to take a different path.

So I slowed down on prepaid legal and went for bigger checks. I'm starting out with wholesaling houses so that I can quickly build up my asset column. This is where I will start and by the time I'm down I hope to have a real estate business on auto-pilot. I'm also a member of Z28.com and they brought me from not knowing anything about cars to being a muscle car guru. Now I hope you all can help me do the same thing in the real estate field!!!
