@Scott B Moore, I currently use Synthesis https://www.themultifamilyanal... it is easy to understand, not overly complicated but still extremely powerful.

I have also been playing with Lone Stare Capitals model, it is extremely advanced.  https://lscre.com/model

Heard, thank you for that info. I took a look at Synthesis, seems like another good option. Is there any sort of system that walks you through utilizing the model after purchase?

@Scott B Moore, Michael Blank's spreadsheet is a popular model.  You can also get Rob Beardsley's free model and he has written a very good book on underwriting as well.  Go here to get either or both.

Thank you Sir, I actually have read Rob Beardsley's book and downloaded his model. I am relatively new right now and that model is a bit much for me at the moment. But practice makes perfect right? Have you used Michael Blank's? Would you think it's value is worth the $150?

Thanks for your response!

Hello all,

I am looking to see what spreadsheet and/or software you use to underwrite apartments. Of course I would need to use if for quick assessments to see if a deep underwriting would be something to pursue, but would also like something that is able to truly underwrite extensively if the quick assessment numbers tell me I should.

Any suggestions? I see Michael Blanks Syndication is an option but I assume that is a spreadsheet, I also know of MFAunderwriting. Does anyone use these and have input? Or any other options that are worth it?

Thanks in advance for any and all input.

Scott
