I'm in Orlando and I don't think you are far off with your initial ideas. Off market will almost always be more advantageous to get a better deal. If you are trying to stay as close to the city of Orlando as possible, I would target SFH near UCF. You can do well with a 3BR under $250K.

There are plenty of options around Orlando that could work well, this is just one that would be much easier to rent by the room because of the University. I have sold some homes in Tampa, but it is not my expertise. I'd be happy to talk more if you decide you want to learn more about Orlando.

I'll be completely frank with you - I work in Seminole, Orange, and Volusia county, and not in short-term rentals. However, I understand the STR business and have access to Osceola county. You would be best served with a STR specialist in Kissimmee, but I see it's the second time you have made this post with no response. I will work hard for you and take you as far as I can go. I know that's not the response you have been looking for, but I'd rather be upfront than over promise and under deliver.
