Thousands of properties to choose from no reason to waste time trying to help others.

Well, alrighty, then!

We know who not to contact when we have a problem to solve.

I'm sure you must have chafed at comments I made in other threads that profit is never a direct product of being in business - it's a always by-product of solving the customer's / client's problem.

If your business's sole purpose is to make money, your business is doomed. Don't believe me? Study up on the recent US economic crash.

The only way we make a profit is to solve someone else's problem, serve someone else's need.

Good day, Mr Scrooge ...

I'm with you Dave, money is far from my only goal in this business.

Thanks a lot everyone!

Damn Greg, that was kind of dark haha. But I definitely understand what you're getting at.

Hey everyone,

I keep running into a problem, which is getting leads where the home owner is underwater.

Example: I got a call today about potentially buying a home with an absentee owner. She said her tenants lease is ending next month and she would like me to offer. I ran the comps and figured the house was worth around 300K. I offered 200K because it needed some updating, then she told me she owed 300K. I saw she refied in 2012 and 2014 before I called, but I wanted to offer anyway.

When this happens, is it just a wash and I should walk away? Or is there something I can potentially do?

Any advice would help! Thanks

Hey Rynel

Thank you for the response. Do I have to add more criteria to limit the count or is there a way to pick a fraction of the count with my existing criteria? Sorry for all the questions, List Source's Customer Service department wasn't very helpful.

Scott

Hey Everyone,

I am just starting out and I have a few questions about list source. I have created all my criteria; equity %, last date sold, zip codes, etc. My area is Anne Arundel County, MD and after entering all my criteria I got a count of about 12,000 property addresses. List source is charging $2,700 for that and I wanted to know if that was a normal price? Is there ways to get that price down or do I have to "pay to play."

Thank you all for your time!

Scott
