hi, it is empty now and there is a bit of damage from squatters but not too bad.  I have only had one tenant and they left because they were not happy with the house, but the agents claimed that they had fixed all the problems.  at this point I am very close to selling unless I can find an agent who can provide good service with reliable tenants.  at the moment I am with garners but I have not been happy with the service there.  all in all I have lost a lot of money.  do you have a website I could check out.

hi, I posted before as I bought a property through a company and paid too much for it, then paid for rehab as company had gone bust.  Now I have rented out once which was not successful and have paid a lot in taxes and the property is regularly broken into.  Property management company are not great, I am wondering whether to move agents or whether to cut my losses (at this point a lot) and just sell.  the property is on Buckingham on the east side of the city.  Not a great area, but there are worse areas.  Any advice welcome!

Hi thanks again for all your replies, I am starting to get a better picture. Apologies for the confusion it is Buckingham Rd not St. zip code 48224. I paid approx 32 thousand pounds sterling for the house including full renovation, but it
obviously isn't worth that at the moment, I think they were a bunch of cowboys, although in the long term hopefully it will work out.
Maybe in touch with those of you who have offered help with finding another management company. Thanks again.

hi thanks for the posts. There is no problem with ownership, and the house has been renovated although i have not been sent photos. However clearly the area is not a great one otherwise the house would have been rented by now. I think I will have to put the rent down and find a better management company. It's on Buckingham st if anyone knows that street? there seem to be very few cars on the google photos. I have read about plans for Detroit to be the centre of electric car production, is this happening to any great extent? Hope so..

hi,
I bought a property in Detroit through a uk company operating in detroit about 18 months ago, i bought it with a rental guarantee which didn't happen it has been empty all this time. i can't contact the property management company or the company who sold it to me and intermediary sales company seem to be avoiding my calls. Clearly i need to find another management company, but i'm starting to panic a bit. the house is in Morningside and was listed on hotpads for rent but isn't anymore. Any advice? what is this area like?
Many thanks
