I wanted to share this service I just found out about, it covers sewer line repairs up to $8500 for a ridiculous monthly fee from $5 to $9 depending on the City the home is in. No Deductible! I looked into it thoroughly and it is 100% legit, I am absolutely amazed by this and only wish I knew of it earlier, I just signed up my rentals!

I just spoke with the Michigan Realtor Hotline's attorney and he confirmed we only need 1 bond.  I have a call into my auto and landlord insurance agency (Allstate) to find out if they can issue me a bond....will update after I hear back.

Exactly!  FYI.. A 25k bond is $100 a year!  So it would be great if I could use the 5 rental security deposit  amounts for less than 10 bucks a month!

I was interested in buying a surety bond to cover my security deposits and was wondering if I need to purchase a bond for each security deposit or can I purchase 1 bond to cover say 5 rental security deposits.  I have called the State and asked a broker but no one seems to know the answer.  Here is a link to the state statue:

Thanks!

Not sure what to do here:

I had a young couple apply for a $1000 a month home, they are both servers at a  restaurant.  I have a letter from the manager on the length of years they have worked there and that they make $600-$800 a week  but their hourly is only $3.10. They both live with parents and don't have rental history. Tax returns will do me no good as they will only claim a portion of their income, I have the last 2 months of bank statements with cash deposits shown. They are a very clean cut couple.  The total move in amount is $2700 and between the 2 have around $5000 in the bank.
