Probably a total newbie question: I am seeking to buy a couple of properties around Birmingham but lack tribal knowledge of the area. Does anyone have or know of a resource that grades (A-D) the different neighborhoods.

I am considering picking up two properties in Birmingham Alabama, 35221 area. How fast/slow are you seeing things rent in the C and D neighborhoods? Does anyone have an approx. vacancy rate for their rental properties in 35221 or surrounding areas? 

I have feedback from realtors and property managers in the area but I would like another investors input - ideally, someone who is familiar with the area.

Any and all input is always greatly appreciated.
