@Kyle J. Thank you Kyle, it is tacky, and outlandish to say the least, my take was that you can go to extremes to save some money for a little while to achieve your goals. Thank you for your mention.
@Cam Jimmy ππthat is great, thank you for a great laugh.
@Dwagne Haskins THANK YOU! Really appreciate your response. I was not cognizant of the pertinence the sandwich being malevolent until that was the only concentration everybody had from my original post. Which is great - got so many peoples input. It does generate such irritability and perhaps as a reminder, for myself, I do splurge on food more often than I should - the sandwich then a reminder of sorts to settle for the $3 burrito instead of the $12 salad, and be okay with it for awhile to increase my capital. Even writing this post has got me thinking - I will think twice next time I decide to convey a message that I cannot justify my meaning.
@Brian Ploszay I agree with you about how to make more money, though reducing expenses is one avenue of that route. Thank you for the input! Its Tito's Tacos*
@Kelly Iannone I appreciate your comments, love how this has become a vote on whether to bring a sandwich or not ππNeed my editor on my next post!
@Mit Gulati I agree completely with you Mit, there is a huge difference in mentality and in scarce thinking and saving money - or a better way of putting it - utilizing your monetary budgets to its full value. As a developer - there are over priced subcontractors/vendors, underpriced, and those in between - value engineering to gain best quality for expenditures is a must! This is the place I am coming from - not bringing the sub into the place - that is like putting molding on you modern estate. I really like what you said about being creative, that is key. Thanks Mit.
@Jay Hinrichs LOL that is something I also had custom to growin up
@Victor S. my first thought when Graham brought the sub to the place was actually, 'Who eats at subway?...ever?' the place is gross.
@Jordy Train ππππ Exactly
@James Wise It is tacky, for myself would have eaten at home before I came and ordered a coffee. He did a thorough video on Fundrise that I found very useful. It is no way to get ahead in life cheating people, or being disrespectful to a business - was not my goal for that to be the point, thank you for your input on this thread, really appreciate the real talk.
@Erik W. Thank you Erik for your input on this - thank you for taking the time to put your perspective on board!
@Paul B. You are right, I have actually not attended meetups because I knew I didn't want to eat there, not merely a money thing - a health thing, they did not have anything I could eat.
@Nick G. Agree!
@David Robertson πππI couldn't live
@Account Closed Yep I have had to, or I didn't eat at all
(Originally) It was never about the sandwich situation itself of bringing food into a restaurant - it was the underlying message of compromising now for a goal later. I intended to share some sacrifice a few months or a year of saving diligently, not going out, or splurging on food, whatever!, in order to save up for that investment property or investment you and I both want when you are starting out. You could try to make more money, increase your income, turn on more faucets in order to combat the costs of situational happiness, sometimes that doesn't happen as fast as we want, deciding to save your money is also another way of turning a faucet on in the mean time.

This has been great most interesting batch of comments from everyone!
