The Isle of Palms near Charleston does very well.  A 1.5-2.5 M home will do ~ 250k+ depending if the house has a pool etc.  Feel free to reach out if you would like to do a call to chat more about it.

Thanks!

Katie,

The meetings are actually held on the first Thursday of the month.  The next one will be on January 6th.  It wouldn't have been a bad thing had you gone tomorrow, because you would have ended up a brewery with great beers : ) .

Cheers and hope to meet you at the meeting in January.

Hello Juan!

You should attend the REI Central meetings held the first Thursday of the month at Palmetto Brewing Company from 6-8. It's a great way to meet other investors, wholesalers, hard money lenders etc. It's truly awesome. I'm also a Real Estate agent and investor here in Charleston and I would be happy to talk with you as well.

Cheers!

Sarah

Hi Kaylee!

I am the proudest of the fixer-upper that I did with my husband. He is a contractor and I'm a real estate agent. We put our heart and soul into the project and it paid off. We went under contract in one day with an "AS IS" offer, 16K over the asking price, and with the appraisal contingency struck. We were thrilled that our hard work was recognized and we felt proud to deliver such a quality house to the lucky buyer.

Hi Sandra!  The commission paid was $4,650.00 to the agent that brought us the Buyer.  I of course did not take a commission on that sale.  Our property taxes were $972.00 for the time we owned the property.  Yes, the income was taxed on capitol gains.  It's certainly best to hold the property for two years to avoid this.  Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.I'm happy to help : ).
