Post: New Agent - Should I Americanize My Name?

Hi everyone!

So my question is pretty straightforward. I am a new Real Estate agent and I wonder if I should Americanize my name to gain that initial connection with clients? A lot of people have difficulties pronouncing and remembering my name, and I wonder if I would have more success if I use a more common name. I do go by Sophie sometimes, but it is not my legal name. I wanted to reach out to you guys and see if I can get any inside insights. I want to establish my name and brand in the real estate field and thought I should decide now whether I am going to go with my legal name or a nickname. Quick background on me, I am originally from Israel and moved to FL about 6 years ago. My name means Sapphire in Hebrew, I like it a lot but wouldn't mind having other people call me by a different name if it significantly improves my business. Thank you all!

Hey I am going to finish my pre licensing course and take the test this month. I tried applying for a few jobs on Zip Recruiter but it can be very overwhelming. A lot of companies are contacting me but seems like non of them offers base pay and it is strictly based on commission pay. I wanted to reach out to members of this community and see if I can get advice, more information, or even potentially job offers.

Hey everyone. I am a single young woman in her 20's wanting to buy a house (potentially a place that needs some renovation so I can make some profit on it once I'm done) but currently I have a little over 30K to put down but my income is not great. I've checked one lender and I got approved for 200K. Unfortunately in my area (Tampa bay) it won't buy me anything. I need at least 300K loan. Do you think I should save up more money in order to get a larger loan? I'm looking for a better income (currently working on my pre licensing real estate 🤞). Does anyone know a more flexible lender? Also my credit score is great, based on FICO score I'm over 700. PLEASE ADVISE, trying to get out of this rat race ASAP. Love you all and this community is absolutely amazing.
