Hey Andrew! Welcome to BiggerPockets. I've no doubt you'll quickly find some great networking opportunities like Leslie and others.

If you're interested in STR, you might check out our blog content the team has put out on that. Click here to see what BiggerPockets' authors have had to say. I'd also invite you to take a look at the STR Bootcamp. Interactive Bootcamps kickoff in September, so it's really the perfect time to enroll and learn from industry expert Avery Carl who mastered STR herself. Click here to check it out.

There's no obligation to join a Bootcamp! As a new member looking to invest in STR, the course just seems tailor-fit to where you are (you also get a free year of our Pro Annual membership if you enroll). Hope to see you around the Forums and watch you grow a strong portfolio either way!

I like redfin for the updates.

Hey, Taylor. Super curious, what updates does Redfin do well, specifically? Perhaps you can fav a property and any update to that listing gets immediately sent to your email? Other?

Hey! Congratulations on some solid success. Caught your post and was curious when you originally purchased the property. Keep it up! Inspiring.

Post: BRRRR Bootcamp Recomendation?

Quote from @Jacob Brooks:

I am considering doing the BRRRR Bootcamp for better knowledge and was looking for some information and recommendations from anyone who might have done it or operate it. To preface, I have read a few books, including the David Greene's and Accelerate your Real Estate from the BP Bookstore. There is plenty of information, with the books being worth their weight in gold. I still just feel as if I don't know enough, and it is because of this reason that I am considering the Bootcamp. However, I don't want to spend money and delay trying to start out for 10 weeks to go through a program that ultimately, does little in helping me develop the knowledge needed to succeed. Does anyone know what these weekly assignments will be like when it states "Turn theory into action with individual assignments." Will these be more of developing the skills with examples or actually helping me with through steps in developing on my own real first deal... if that makes sense? Any information that can be provided would be very helpful. Thank you

Hey @Jacob Brooks! Thanks for your interest in our BRRRR Interactive Bootcamp (and your book purchases!)

The books offer great insights that are staple to the method, while the Interactive BRRRR Bootcamp with Henry will provide a more hands-on experience that can truly enrich your current understanding of BRRRR.

In the Bootcamp, you'll dive deep into each BRRRR step and apply knowledge through the assignments. Those assignments are designed to simulate real-world scenarios and challenges you might face in your own real estate investing journey. By working through each, you'll gain practical skills and insights that can help you navigate your challenges. If you want specific detail now what each assignment is, I'll work to hunt that down and PM you!

Also, don't forget the networking angle. You'll for sure learn from Henry's personal expertise, but you'll have the chance to increase your own network with like-minded individuals, too - new BFFs for the long haul!

Ultimately, the bootcamp is designed to equip you with practical skills and confidence to successfully implement the BRRRR method yourself. You can sign up for the BRRRR Interactive Bootcamp by clicking here and selecting Interactive Bootcamps. If the course ends up not being for you, please let us know ASAP and we'll be happy to work with you to find one that is.

Let us know how we can help further!

Quote from @Maurice J Gibson:

Are the Bootcamps evening classes?  I am still with a fulltime W2 and can not participate until After 5 PM.

Howdy, Maurice!

Yeah, great question. The Interactive Bootcamps have weekly, live sessions with your expert instructor. The Self-Guided Bootcamps do not have live sessions; instead, you're free to dig into all that Bootcamp's content at the time(s) best for you.

Here's how the Interactive Bootcamps breakdown:

BRRRR --> live session every Tuesday @ 8PM ET
MultiFamily --> live session every Thursday @ 8PM ET
STR --> live session every Monday @ 8PM ET
RE Rookie --> live session every Monday @ 12PM ET

I hope this helps and I hope the Bootcamp course you are most interested in caters to your schedule 🤞

July 10th EDIT: Heads up! The RE Rookie has had its live sessions moved from Tuesdays to Mondays.

Congrats, Andrew! Truly inspirational, and a fun read. I'm a brand-new BP staff member and admittedly I've got much to learn on the real-estate front itself. I'd be curious which pieces of BP content did you feel were most helpful along your journey? Any particular podcast, specific episode even? Which book seemed to give you the most juice? No worries if nothing specific comes to mind! Cheers and best of luck on your continued mastery of investment RE.

Welcome, Robert!

First, thank you for your service. And welcome to the BP community. I'm brand-new as well (also a new BP staff member) and I look forward to seeing you succeed in real-estate. If you have any questions along the way - around BP content, or the site - let myself or a real Forum Experts (like Noah Bacon) know. Happy to help if I can!

If you're up for it, perhaps we can connect and start our networking tree together.

Greetings from Austin!

My name is Sam Metcalf and I've been brought on at BiggerPockets to oversee our marketing of our Pro membership product. It's such a great feeling to join the BP team and to join you all here. The community that BiggerPockets has cultivated is impressive and it is STRONG. I'm going to have fun on this journey, I can immediately see that :)

I do look forward to learning - basically from the ground up - about all things investment real-estate. But perhaps most importantly, learning about what YOU like, what you don't, and executing a marketing strategy that ensures new Pro members, on the front end, join and see their expectations met quickly. (or, in other words, that our talk meets the actual walk)

On the personal front, I live in Austin with my girlfriend of 4 years and our twin, 3-year-old toddlers. We closed on a SFH in late-March (our first together, but my second) and are very interested in acquiring an investment/rental sometime in the next 24-months. So, you bet I'll be practicing what we preach here at BP.

You'll mainly see me chime in around our Bootcamp series (Fall Bootcamp enrollment is right around the corner, by the way!) and our webinars. Have an opinion on these items good or bad? Sound off, by all means. Or, message me directly.

Excited for where we'll take our programs next. Onward!
