@Eric Bilderback I appreciate that feedback. I think the tone of the article is a little misunderstood. Being an MiLB player isn't very glamorous. There isn't much ego involved in it, it's not the big leagues and by no means is it a hill to stand on. Rather than using it as a bit to establish being "alpha", it's actually been extremely helpful in developing rapport in conversations with some people (I've played with or against a lot of people's kin in the area at some point or another, and that's been a useful tool). And I thought displaying that would be a helpful nugget for readers, but I believe it came across egotistical which is unfortunate.

Again, I appreciate the feedback.

Quote from @Sam Tewes:

@Joe S. I'm a big fan of the syndication model! You're absolutely right though - small piece of the watermelon instead of a whole grape. Thanks for the feedback.

It seems like you’re on your way.

Some people have great partners and teams and hopefully that is the case for you. I’ve heard the grape and watermelon analogy before and at this point in my life I’m doing all right by adding grapes to my cluster. That doesn’t mean my way is better it just means that’s what I’m more comfortable with.

 Best regards:)

I’ve been very fortunate with partnerships. I don’t think there is any “1 best way” it takes all kinds of kinds to succeed.

@Karl B. I’m not a consultant, or an expert. I fail every day. I just had some brief success with the way I went about things and thought I would share and see if some of those methods worked for other people. Not a guru, still a student.
