Thanks for help Matt Devincenzo and Dion DePaoli. I feel bad and intrusive asking people for so much information. I have to change my mindset that this is business and not personal. They did only give us the current LL info, so I think I will ask for the previous one and I will just call and talk to the tenants about my concerns and ask for further information that you guys stated, even though it is uncomfortable. Only one credit bureau was used in the background check site we used. I did not get a signed form from the applicants to pull their credit, but I assume that it was taken care of through the website, since I just emailed them the application. I'll have to check on that too! Thank you so much for all of your tips!!! I really appreciate it.

Hey BP pros! We have a very nice couple that would like to rent our home. When we met them, I got a great vibe from them and would really like to rent to them. They have contacted us to say they are really excited and that we could even go look at the house they are currently renting just to assure us they will take good care of the house. Only one of the applicants have applied so far. This person had absolutely nothing on their credit history, which made the score show up as very poor. There was nothing bad on the background, eviction or criminal check. I just find it odd for a person in their late 20's to not have one thing on a credit report. Also, when they came to look at the house, they mentioned that they had a property manager for a home they had in another state. And, they came to the house in a very nice, new Cadillac SUV. Does this sound odd to anyone else? Don't you think there would be a mortgage or car payment. Could Transunion be wrong? Should I call the applicant and ask questions? Is that legal? What can I or should I ask? Thanks for any tips you might have for us!
