Great! I'm interested in a similar approach: live in one unit and rent out the rest. I see the price range for these types of properties is between $1 million and $1.6 million, but finding a good deal in this market can be challenging.

I recently moved to Jersey City and I'm interested in buying a multi-family property in the area (specifically 07302/Hoboken and surrounding neighborhoods). I'm exploring this as a potential investment and would love to hear from anyone with experience buying in JC.

I'm looking for recommendations on good areas to invest in. Ideally, I'd like to find a balance between affordability and potential for appreciation.

Also, are there any common pitfalls or things to watch out for when buying a multi-family property in Jersey City? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Should I look out side of JC?

Thanks in advance!
