Are you a landlord? Please share your thoughts on solar-electric systems on rental units by taking this survey. Your answers will help us develop resources for landlords and tenants to use in assessing and adopting solar! Please forward this to others you think might be interested, especially landlords!

Seems like my instinct is more or less right that it will be a rare landlord that will be open to part-time subletting, a la AirBnB. A longer term option could be buying a condo and letting it when needed, but gah there are so few good deals anywhere we'd want to be. Plus, agreed that timing renters with when we'd want to use the space could be a huge headache. A roommate is a no-go. Default just seems to be a renter and writing off the rental payment, or hotel it as needed. Still open to more creative solutions, will follow-up if I have other questions. Thanks for the insights!

I will likely be relocating out of the Boston area and selling my home. But I would like to keep a small place for when I come in for business, maybe 10-15 days a month. Is it practical to expect to be able to find a landlord that would allow me to sublet it on those days I'm not using it? Alternatively, are there other scenarios that would make sense and not set me back ~$1500/mo? Thanks in advance for your wisdom!
