Hi Stephen! Thank you for sharing your experience! I am very interested in learning more about how you entered into the industry of real estate finance because this is something I am considering pursuing.

@Sergey Tkachev

Hi Sergey! Thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge about decision making when looking at brokerages. I didn't consider that certain organizations specialize in their own niches. Your words are encouraging, and I realize that obtaining my license is only the beginning of the journey.

@Nathan Roberts

I'm happy to be graduated. I hope your vacation is going well! On second thought, you talked me into taking the courses in person. Thanks for giving me direction through this. I'll do more research into my targeted market and see how it reflects in location before I decide which state to get licensed in first.

@Nathan Roberts

Hey Nathan!

Thanks for sharing your insights! I would say I'm surprised to see you on here, but I'm not. I'm going to look into the online course through real estate express that you recommended. Did you start with a license in the state that you resided in or did you do the opposite?

@Jenny L. Thanks for the feedback Jenni! Although I completed my coursework in college, I have no prior knowledge about the profession of becoming a real estate agent. For this reason, I'm trying to figure out how to approach preparation for the licensing exams. I've heard that some organizations help you get your license after you're hired on, but I'm trying to get mines before seeking a position.

@Gabe Monroy Hi Gabe! Thank you for being a resource! What state are you licensed in? And what methods did you take in preparing for your exam?

Hi BiggerPockets community!

I've been lurking on the site for a while now and have now decided to fully immerse myself into the biggerpockets community by becoming an active member. I just recently finished my education at a four year university and have always had the desire to pursue real estate both professionally and personally. My next goal is to become a licensed real estate agent in order to set myself up for my own investment properties later on. I reside in Kansas City, Missouri which is also on the border of Kansas. I've looked into online courses to help me prepare for the tests and "theceshop" has some positive reviews, I was wondering if anyone has ever taken their course and could provide some feedback. I'm also not sure whether I should pursue my license in Missouri or Kansas? Any feedback is greatly appreciated! I'm looking forwards to connecting with you all!
